“Mike brings a wealth of experience at the local, state and federal level on transportation issues and how agencies should work. His leadership and experience will be invaluable to the citizens in District 5 and all of Ada County. He will be a valuable asset to the ACHD Board and I heartily endorse his candidacy.”
~ District 20 Idaho Senator Chuck Winder (R)
- Idaho Senate Assistant Majority Leader
- Former ACHD Commissioner, served as Chairman
- Former Idaho Transportation Board, served as Chairman
I will be a tireless advocate for the citizens of Ada County to improve the transportation needs of our community. Today, too often concerns fall on deaf ears with ACHD, and this must change. I will make sure your concerns are heard and acted upon.
I have spent my entire career working alongside elected leaders with whom I share the values of lean, but effective government while fighting to keep taxes down. Transportation is a major part of Ada County’s economic infrastructure that needs better maintenance and management. I promise to make ACHD do a better job spending our tax dollars and developers impact fees wisely.
As a small business owner myself, I know the challenges of running a company and making payroll. While I will always take into account safety in the decision making of applications at ACHD, I will always also take into consideration the importance of business development in our Valley. ACHD should stop making decisions that deliberately hinder job creation. More jobs improve our local economy. I will bring needed change to ACHD.
I hear too many comments from citizens concerned by what they see and read in the media about ACHD. They read about negativity and strife between ACHD and the cities of Ada County. I believe that ACHD must be a good partner to the cities of Ada County and that each commissioner behaves with civility to all entities that come before the commission. When elected to the ACHD commission, I will bring needed change by treating everyone with the respect they deserve. I promise to bring civility and courtesy back to ACHD.
